The four colors to choose from for the Bajaj Pulsar 180 include Black Gold, Black Blue, Black Grey, and Black Red. The color scheme looks very minimalistic, with all four shades consisting of black as the primary color and with streaks of decals applied to such parts of the bike as the headlight cowl, fuel tank, belly pan cowl, and tail sections.

The Pulsar 180 bike uses an air-oil-cooled single-cylinder engine with a capacity of 178.61 cc, delivering 16.77bhp power output at 8,500 rpm with maximum torque of 15Nm at 6,500 rpm. Despite not having tested the current Pulsar 180, the engine has always been praised for having great mid-range power. As for the specification, there has been a slight upgrade in that the bike comes with LED turn indicators along with a fully digital LCD speedometer that connects with smartphones.
