- Introduced in three new colours abroad
- Mechanical details remain unchanged
The Honda 2026 MSX125 Grom is being upgraded with three new colours internationally, although the mechanical specifications of the model are untouched. These colours include Pearl Shining Black, Splendid Blue, and an all-new Gayety Red based on its racing outfit, HRC. This is a change from the extensive overhaul done for 2025 that included new bodywork for the Grom. As a feature, Honda notes that the detachable body panels allow owners to add their own decals or stickers to the Grom.

The engine which powers the Grom remains the same 125cc, air-cooled and two-valve engine that offers power output of 9.6bhp at 7,250rpm and torque of 10.4Nm at 5,500rpm. This engine is mated to a five-speed transmission system. The company says the bike will have a top speed of 94 km/hour. It also retains the same 31mm USD front suspension system along with a rear monoshock suspension system. Further specifications are a fuel tank capacity of 6 litres, wheelbase of 1,200mm, and a curb weight of 103kg.

Since 2012, the Grom has been available in the international market. It has sold in excess of 8.6 lakh units across the world. The largest sales come from Thailand, with more than 6.18 lakh units sold. Sales from Europe and the USA have also been significant. Nevertheless, without Honda taking any risks, it seems that we shall never see the Grom in India, as it is not demanded here.
