– Gets red and white racing paint schemes
– Launched in Brazil
– Unlikely to come to India
The company has introduced the 70th Anniversary Edition models of the R15 and the R3 motorcycles in Brazil. While the former motorcycle is offered for sale at the price of BRL 24,090 (Rs 4.69 lakh), the latter model comes with a tag of Rs. BRL 37,790 (Rs 7.36 lakh). Both of the motorcycles come with an exclusive design, with the white and red color combination being used to give these two bikes a very attractive appearance. In fact, Yamaha used these two colors on their factory racing bikes before switching to their signature blue color in the ’90s.

Apart from the paint colors, both of these motorcycles feature the ‘speed block’ graphics, which have significance for the company because of their past racing bikes that had this type of design.
In terms of mechanicals, both bikes stay the same. The Yamaha R15 is equipped with a 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers 18.8bhp and 14.7Nm. On the other hand, the Yamaha R3 is fitted with a 321cc, parallel-twin engine that delivers 41bhp and 29.42Nm.
