Recently, we got to test Mahindra XUV 7XO diesel MT variant when it came to its mileage figures. Check out all the details on our website. Now, we have gone further and tested the diesel automatic variant of this updated SUV for its actual mileage numbers.

XUV 7XO comes in both 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine variants with six-speed manual and torque converter automatic transmission systems. The petrol engine develops 200bhp/380Nm, whereas the diesel engine produces 281bhp/420Nm (450Nm for AT). Notably, the actual fuel economy numbers of this updated three-row SUV have not been shared by the automaker so far. Available models are also offered with an AWD configuration.
In our milestone mileage test, the diesel AT variant of the XUV 7XO delivered mileage of 9.64 kmpl in the city which is lesser than the MID-specified number of 10.8kmpl. Likewise, the model produced fuel efficiency of 18.9kmpl on the highway side which is higher than the MID-specified number of 16.5kmpl.

The test procedures we use for testing the fuel economy of all vehicles have a standard procedure that must be followed, such as setting the default settings, whether it is the air conditioning and seat ventilation settings, drive settings, or anything else. For instance, the Zap drive setting was utilized in this case, but the auto start-stop function remained turned on too. The temperature of the air conditioning system was set to 22 degrees, but the blower setting was set to 4. Besides, the seat ventilation setting was also set to 3.
