Oben Electric has revealed that its latest Oben Rorr Evo electric motorcycle has bagged more than 25,000 bookings within 15 days of its launch. It has also made the payment gateway available on its website for its customers to book their motorcycles at an introductory price of Rs. 99,999 (ex-showroom), limited only to the first 10,000 customers. After this, the price would be Rs. 1,24,999 (ex-showroom).

The Oben Rorr Evo is fitted with a 9kW IPMSM motor that generates a wheel torque of 250Nm. It features a 3.4kWh LFP battery pack that boasts an IDC range of 180km. This bike is able to make 0-40kmph acceleration within three seconds and has a top speed of 110kmph. Oben states that the battery can be charged from 0-80 per cent within 90 minutes via fast charging. Key features include a five-inch TFT display, OTA updates, turn-by-turn navigation, geo-fencing, remote immobilization, fall detection, emergency SOS, 10 litres of storage capacity, and eight years of battery warranty.
According to Oben Electric, it is all geared up for handling the high demand that seems to exist. This is based on having over 150 showrooms and service centers spread across more than 100 cities in India. Oben plans to further expand its retail footprint by opening 200 more showrooms by the end of FY27.
