- Burgman 150 revealed in Colombia
- Gets switchable traction control
- India launch unlikely
Following the unveiling of the new generation Burgman Street 125 in India, Suzuki has launched the new Burgman 150 in Colombia. It shares much of the philosophy of the Burgman family, which includes intimidating design, clearly spacious ergonomics, and plenty of features.
Known as the Burgman 150, it is a drastic change from the Burgman Street 125. It appears larger with a wider front apron that comprises a striking combination of projector LED, DRLs, and turn indicators. Like all maxi scooters, it has a central spine that is complemented by sloping and flat footrests. Some of its features include a TFT display with Bluetooth, turn-by-turn navigation, keyless start, dual-channel ABS, and traction control system.

The Burgman 150 gets its power from a 149cc air-cooled engine that produces 14.2 bhp at 8,500 rpm and delivers a maximum torque output of 14.2 Nm at 6,500 rpm. In terms of hardware, the motorcycle is fitted with 14-inch alloy wheels on all four corners with telescopic front forks and dual rear shock absorbers. Seat height measures 760 mm, dry weight is 145 kg, while it comes equipped with an 8-litre fuel tank. Storage wise, it gets a 25-litre capacity underseat space along with a USB-C charging port.

Though it is unlikely that the Suzuki Burgman 150 will ever see daylight in India, it would be an excellent idea if the company could price it appropriately. This will work on its existing goodwill from the Burgman Street 125 and will become a serious threat for offerings such as the Hero Xoom 160, TVS Ntorq 150, and Yamaha Aerox 155.
