The Tata Motors are likely to launch at least three new electric vehicles in the coming 12-18 months in India, and this is where we have presented a complete guide for you.
As soon as the Harrier EV and the upgraded Punch EV are added to their lineup, Tata Motors have plans for other electric cars that will be introduced into the market in the coming year or two. Three more Tata EVs are expected to be launched, targeting different markets and customers. These include a considerably improved Tiago EV that is currently under development.
The latest prototypes have revealed that the car’s exterior design has been completely redone, with changes in the headlight clusters, front and rear bumpers, and aerodynamic wheels being made. Test vehicles with larger door mirrors hint at the inclusion of features such as a 360-degree camera. The cabin has also been redesigned for a more modern look, featuring a larger touchscreen, full-digital dials, high-quality materials, and improved connectivity features.

However, arguably most important is that the new Tiago EV could be fitted with the 30 kWh battery pack used in the Punch EV, and this would give the vehicle a significantly greater range than its predecessor. Next up in the range, but positioned slightly higher than the budget hatch, is the Sierra EV, due to debut in Q2 this year.
There is speculation about 55 kWh and 65 kWh variants being offered, while the 75 kWh variant equipped with two motors could be an option. The range of around 500 km is attainable, and the battery pack will support fast and bidirectional charging capabilities. From the exterior side, there will be nothing much different except for some EV-specific touches to be seen.
Some of the features that can be seen will be a closed front grill and some aerodynamic tweaks to the exterior. Talking about the interior, the car will offer the same interior layout similar to that of its ICE counterpart. Atop this line-up of models comes the first production vehicle from the Avinya sub-brand of Tata Motors.

The vehicle is set to make its appearance sometime in early 2027 and will sit in prime real estate space where Tata hasn’t introduced any electric cars before. Based on some initial clues, the car’s profile will feature a sportback roofline with an advanced interior that is highly dependent on technology.
