Last week, the automaker launched the facelifted version of the Tiago EV with its starting price set at Rs. 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Moreover, the car is offered with the BaaS scheme as well, whose prices start from Rs. 4.69 lakh (ex-showroom), making it India’s most inexpensive electric vehicle.

Now coming to the most affordable model in the 2026 Tata Tiago EV lineup. This model is referred to as Smart and comes only with the smaller, 19.2kWh battery pack and an electric engine delivering 60bhp of power and 110Nm of torque. Other variants of the model are available with the bigger battery pack of 24kWh capacity. As per the exterior appearance, the new base model of the Tata Tiago EV sports revamped front and rear bumpers, dummy grille, 14-inch steel alloy wheels, black ORVMs, Tata EV logo stickers on the front doors, new-style taillights with an illuminated LED strip, Tiago EV logo on the tailgate, an integrated roof spoiler with a stop lamp, and side-mounted reflectors.

On the inside, the Tata’s cheapest electric car comes with a new free-standing colorful dashboard, new two-spoked steering wheel with an off-center Tata EV badge, new center console and rotary dial, a new interior color scheme featuring contrast colored seats, iTPMS, drive mode selectors (City and Sport), auto climate control, and iRA connected car technology. Additionally, it comes with six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and under thigh support seats.
