The demand for electric vehicles is rising fast in India, and now, this is evident from Maruti Suzuki’s e-Vitara as well. As per the company, it is the most sought after models of the SUV that are fitted with a 61kWh battery pack.

Both sales and manufacturing have been quite favorable for this electric SUV in April. In April, the company manufactured 2,006 units for the local market, whereas 4,900 units were made for export purposes.

Undoubtedly, this model is performing exceptionally well not only within the Indian market but also internationally.

Although the demand is growing, there are some limitations when it comes to production. According to current figures, the local production capacity amounts to about 2,000 units a month.

It should also be stated that the process of ramping up the capacity of the Gujarat factory should be completed in July, meaning that the problem will eventually be solved.

Indeed, the Maruti Suzuki Gujarat factory became the center of production of the vehicle all over the world. Indeed, almost 30,000 units were exported to over 44 countries, while it should also be stated that the other vehicle of this factory, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella, costs yet to be revealed.

The growing popularity of the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara proves that people give preference to vehicles with a larger battery capacity, extended autonomy, and additional features. The production increase can make this car one of the most popular in India and worldwide.
