Here’s the officially announced price of the Urban Cruiser Ebella, the first battery-electric Toyota to hit the Indian auto market. There is just one version available by the name of E3 with a price tag of Rs. 23,60,000 (ex-showroom).
The model comes fitted with a 61 kWh battery pack along with a 128 kW electric motor offering 172 hp power along with 189 Nm of torque. The chassis is based on Toyota’s Heartect-e, which was previously seen on Maruti Suzuki’s e Vitara model. Speaking of looks, Toyota is offering nine colour variations with five monotone and four dual-tone choices to choose from. Talking about design, it offers Urban Tech theme with hammerhead styled front grille, unique lighting setup, aerodynamic shape, dual-tone shades, and 18-inch alloy rims.
As for the interior space, there is a premium vibe that can be seen everywhere along with a familiar dashboard layout owing to the fact that Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella shares its underpinning with the recently launched Maruti Suzuki e Vitara.

While we may soon get the price tags for other variants, it has been reported that the top-of-the-line variant E3 is priced Rs. 86,000 higher. Some of the notable features inside the vehicle include ventilated front seats, sliding and reclining rear seats, ambient lighting with twelve different colours to choose from, panoramic sunroof, and a JBL sound system.
The car has a digital cockpit which comes with a 10.25 inches instrument console and a 10.1 inches infotainment system. While the infotainment system offers compatibility with both Android and Apple devices via wireless charging, there are two tone interior trims on offer as well. For safety, the new Fortuner comes with seven airbags, Level 2 ADAS, and 360 degrees camera among others.

Support for AC/DC fast charging is also provided with remote charging facility, schedule and battery management options via the i-Connect system. Toyota has arranged nearly 500 BEV-enabled customer service touchpoints equipped with specific diagnostic devices and facilities, having 2,500 BEV-trained mechanics behind.
The ownership comes with an 8-year battery warranty, assured battery buyback scheme, battery-as-service program, and favorable financing options. Priced at Rs 23.60 lakh, the Urban Cruiser Ebella finds itself in the category of electric mid-size SUVs above Hyundai Creta Electric and other competing vehicles like e Vitara and Mahindra BE 6 with claimed range capability up to 543 km per charge.
