The Convertible John Cooper Works Pack by Mini India is available in India at an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 61.50 lakh. The model is imported completely built and can be booked from all authorized Mini India dealerships around the country with immediate delivery dates and is limited in number.

The JCW Pack helps transform the appearance of the Convertible without altering the basic model. In terms of the exterior, the JCW Pack includes a new front grille, modified bumpers, side skirts and door sill guards, piano black exterior detailing and wheel arch cladding. There are two choices of body paint colors, Legend Grey and Midnight Black.

The Legend Grey variant comes with black colored mirror covers and sport stripes. Some other features on the outside include aerodynamic profiled 17-inch JCW Sprint Spoke Black alloy wheels and vertically mounted oval LED tail lights. The electrically powered convertible roof can be completely lowered within 18 seconds while moving at a speed of up to 30 kilometers per hour.

The roof may also be partly opened up to a distance of 40 centimeters, acting as a sunroof at all speeds. Boot capacity measures 160 liters when the roof is open while reaching 215 liters when it’s closed. As far as lighting goes, the car comes equipped with standard LED lights offering three light signatures and a welcome sequence with Mini branding projected onto the sides of the vehicle.

Inside, there are sports seats from JCW in a combined fabric and leather upholstery of Vescin and Cord leather upholstery. On top of that, there’s an instrument cluster that includes a round OLED display called the Mini Interaction Unit, and a Toggle Bar Island offering controls for start/stop, gear shifts, parking brake and drive modes along with volume control and wireless charging area.

The vehicle has Mini Operating System 9, which features a user interface with app functionality similar to that of smartphones. It comes with an intelligent personal assistant, which responds to the phrase “Hey MINI” and can perform such functions as navigation, making calls, and entertaining the driver. Some other technologies present in the vehicle include digital key plus, Head-Up Display, Harman Kardon surround sound, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, remote services, and remote software updates.

The driving modes adapt the lighting, sounds, and graphics of the displays to fit the character chosen. The Go-Kart Mode, Green Mode, Vivid Mode, and some other driving modes are available. The engine of the car is 2.0-liter turbo petrol with 204 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, mated with the 7-speed dual-clutch Steptronic Sport gearbox, which has a Boost Mode feature.

Time required for reaching speeds between 0 to 100 km/h is 6.9 seconds and the maximum speed is 240 km/h. Features related to safety include airbags at the front and on the sides, along with a rollover sensor, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Dynamic Stability Control, Brake Assist, Cornering Brake Control, and a Rear View Camera. Warranty offered on the car is two years without limits on kilometers travelled, along with two years of 24/7 road side assistance services.
