Upcoming Electric Cars in India: Toyota, Tata and VinFast Ready Big Launches
The electric vehicle market in India is heating up fast, and the country is set to witness many exciting launches from some of the biggest carmakers in the world. Car companies like Toyota, Tata Motors, and VinFast are planning to launch many electric cars in the country in the near future. These cars will be targeting both budget and luxury buyers and will be equipped with better technology, higher driving ranges, and competitive prices.
Toyota is gearing up to enter the EV market with an aggressive stance with its upcoming electric SUV, which is expected to be built on the Urban Cruiser platform. This car is expected to share parts with the upcoming Maruti e-Vitara and may come with battery variants of 49kWh and 61kWh. It is expected to be priced between ₹18 lakh and ₹25 lakh.

Tata Motors, which is already a market leader in the Indian EV market, is also adding to the list of new electric vehicles. One of the most awaited models from Tata is the Tata Sierra EV, which is expected to offer a blend of new design with essential features. It is expected to offer various battery variants, rear-wheel drive, and all-wheel drive modes. The price range of ₹16 lakh to ₹25 lakh is expected to make it suitable for all segments of customers.

Meanwhile, VinFast, which is a new entrant in India, is also making rapid progress with new launches. After having launched its VF6 and VF7 SUVs, it is now planning to further expand its portfolio with other vehicles like VF3 micro SUV, VF5 crossover, Limo Green MPV, among others. Such vehicles will be aimed at catering to masses with competitive prices.
VF3, in particular, is likely to be one of the most affordable EVs in India, with prices ranging from around ₹10 lakh. On the other hand, Limo Green MPV is likely to have a range of around 450 km and prices ranging from ₹18 lakh to ₹25 lakh. This makes it suitable for family users or fleet owners.
